I recently posted a quote on face book as a joke about Obama and I was bombarded with many different mind sets on war. In addition their seemed to be a common question about whether we should be at war right now. The following is my response to those people who disagree with War. Something to think about:
"The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving."- Ulysses S. Grant
"To be prepared for war is one of the most effectual means of preserving peace."- George Washington
"But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.” (Luke 21:9 NKJV)
"And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Revelation 13:5-8 NKJV)
So check it out, war is absolutely necessary to achieve Gods purpose, which is not subject to the democrats, and/or the republicans agenda, it is according to His agenda. If anyone thinks that the Lord does not have His hand in this war against terror and Iraq, you are sadly mistaken and very foolish. For example, it is to this day that before we were in Iraq, we (Christians) were not allowed to freely preach the gospel in Iraq, but now, because we went to war with Iraq, many people have been saved and doors have been opened up so that missionary's could go into that nation, and now that nation is changing by allowing Christians to go in and preach the gospel. Those that disagree with war, are trapped in their own little worlds, thinking that only within their thinking and their brain, if it does not make sense, war should not happen. But that is because you are thinking from a human and fleshly and selfish way, and not Gods way. Gods plan for your life doesn't always agree with your plan. Submit to God, and He will change your life, not for your good, but for Gods good, because you are not God, Jesus is God. But I assure you that God is good, in the end is for your Good (at least for your spirit, if you are have given your life to Him).
In addition in reference to my last scripture I posted, we must understand that God will have His way, reguardless of how we think, and what we want. The Bible says every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess. If this means people die in the process, then so be it. Many people (not all) in these nations which and where we have declared war and/or are fighting do not worship Jesus. In fact some of them hate Christians and even kill Christians. This is not ok to God, and that is why I believe that we are at war. To understand this you must understand that all authority has been established by God (Romans 13:1). Meaning that the authorities of the United States, who have been placed by God, have decided to go to war, and therefore God is all about that decision because God allows people to be in authority, whether you want that or not.
...and I leave you with this, Obama is not a Christian, and that is one strong reason why our country is in the mess that it is. Stop blaming everything on the war. Recession, financial struggles, yes, they will come because of war, but, remember, everything is spiritual, and when a Muslim president has been placed in authority over a nation that is and was founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ, the spirit of darkness will come and try to take over. But their is hope, because we can pray, and we can have faith for a better tomorrow and a better president to get this great nation back to how God wants it, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)The thing to do is not to complain about it, and the real question you should be asking yourself is this: "what are you doing about it' about the crisis? Are you complaining about it and doing nothing? Do you vote? Do you pray, are you saved? Do you have a relationship with Jesus? Do you participate in the great commission?
"But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me." (Acts 26:16-18 NKJV)
